GUITAR INTERPLAY DUO

Guitar Interplay Duo: A Jazz Journey of Emotion and Virtuosity

The Guitar Interplay Duo, featuring Renato Pompilio and Manuel Consigli, is a unique project in the jazz scene, capable of taking audiences on a musical journey rich in emotions and impeccable technique. Their music is born from the meeting of two distinct but deeply compatible spirits: Renato’s classical guitar, influenced by everything from flamenco to world music, and Manuel’s jazz archtops, rooted deeply in the jazz tradition.

The connection between the two musicians is palpable in every performance. Each piece is an open dialogue, an intricate weave of melodies and harmonies celebrating the history of jazz guitar duos. Manuel Consigli, founder of the Guitar Mindfulness Jazz Academy, combines his teaching and musical expertise with a particular sensitivity for improvisation and personal growth. Renato Pompilio, a virtuoso guitarist from Verbania, brings an international career and mastery that spans bossa nova, flamenco, classical music, and jazz.

The repertoire of the Guitar Interplay Duo is diverse and surprising, ranging from timeless jazz standards to the melodies of Neapolitan songs, from the unforgettable soundtracks of Ennio Morricone to the works of iconic artists like Sting and Pino Daniele. Every piece is arranged with the unmistakable stylistic signature of the duo, reinterpreting each melody with sensitivity and a personal jazz approach.

Their encounter, which happened many years ago and was later rekindled after a long separation, led to the birth of a project that now presents itself to the public with maturity and beauty. Each concert by the Guitar Interplay Duo is a unique experience, where technique and passion merge to offer the audience an intimate, moving, and unforgettable sound journey.
