The solo guitarist must carry everything in their own hands, weaving melody, bass lines, chords, and rhythm with naturalness and depth.
The Guitar Joy Solo Project was born from this challenge: transforming a single guitar into a complete orchestra, creating a living, pulsating sonic narrative capable of captivating and moving the listener.
Leading this journey is Manuel Consigli, a jazz guitarist with a personal and refined touch. Through a musical language that combines elegance, expressiveness, and improvisational freedom, Manuel brings to the stage the purest essence of jazz guitar.

A solo guitarist must think like an entire band.
The melody sings with a clear, authentic voice, telling the story of the piece.
The bass lines provide depth and groove, creating movement and rhythmic support.
The chords blend with the melody, shaping rich and dynamic harmonies.
Rhythm is the breath of the music, giving energy and continuity to the performance.
It is a delicate balance between control and freedom, between structure and improvisation.
Every note must have meaning. Every silence must speak.
In the Guitar Joy Solo Project, each piece comes to life in a new form, shaped in the moment, in constant dialogue with the environment and with the listener.
Manuel Consigli
Manuel Consigli is a jazz guitarist who experiences music not only as an art form, but as a journey of personal growth. His passion has led him to develop a unique artistic path in which musical technique merges with inner exploration, offering others a transformative vision of the guitar. As the founder of the Guitar Mindfulness Jazz Academy, Manuel guides musicians in discovering their authentic voice, exploring improvisation and harmony as tools for expression and individual growth.
He is the author of The Secret Map of the Happy Guitarist and the editor of the new edition of Didactic Studies for Jazz Guitar by Filippo Daccò, listed among Jazzit’s “20 Greatest Jazz Books.” Through his teaching methods, Manuel aims to go beyond technique, transforming musical learning into an experience of personal fulfillment.
Solo guitar is a high-wire act without a safety net, where sound breathes, expands, and reinvents itself with every performance.
Each piece is an ever-evolving sonic landscape, where the listener is guided through constantly shifting harmonic and melodic nuances.

It was born from a desire for Peace.
Why Peace
The word peace today is overused, emptied of its meaning, instrumentalized.
It is used to legitimize the use of force and oppression, to make war acceptable.
Peace is a musical plea.
I chose this word as the title as a concrete act of semantic resistance, a way to restore its value and its meaning.
For me, peace is the natural consequence of recognizing oneself in the other.
It is, first and foremost, a matter of conscience, and it cannot be separated from justice and truth.
It is also a choice of integrity:
a way to give meaning to being a musician today,
in a time of genocide, rearmament, and neo-imperialism,
without separating music from conscience.
